McCord Hall - Last Steel Beam in Place

This morning the deans, faculty and staff had a chance to sign the last steel beam to be placed on the McCord Hall superstructure!  I opted for the WHITE marker and added my name to the steel beam just above the ENCORE steel logo.  Check out these pictures below. The beam was set into place at about 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday October 3, 2012.  Also check out the "Behind the Fence - McCord Hall Construction Blog."

Recycling - Is it over rated? YES

Hello All!

So I thought I would be kind to the environment and start recycling all my water bottles and plastic.  So I saved all my plastic for the last year.  I decided to find a recycling center when a friend mentioned that she was going to call the show "Hoarders!"

That was the last straw.  I piled the items into the Infiniti and off to the recycler I went.  Totally not worth it.  For all that recycling I received $5.25.  This year.  It's all going in the trash.
At least my laundry room is clean and I am one step closer to actually using my mountain bike.

Megan and Julie Long come to visit for Memorial Day

Megan Jae and Julie came over for a swim today. What a fun day! Here are some pictures of Megan and Julie as they came to visit.

Is it hot yet?

Yes it is HOT. This is the second time it has reached 100. The first was on May 21st and the second day was Sunday May 30th. Today was not as hot! Thank goodness. But due to the magic of cell phones, we can now take pictures in the moment... Here is a picture I snapped when the temperature turned 100.

The AZ Switch

Many have heard rumor. So time to discuss facts.
YES, Dezastra has been retired and a new Truck has taken her place.
No name just yet. Typically name is discovered in 1-2 years of ownership!
We could call her "Detroit Left Eye" for now... One side she's all chrome, other she's not!
Thank you Detroit Dodge! Long story about the two faced Dodge Ram and the service people who can't. But here are a few departure pictures of Dezastra's send off.
